The old hymn urges us “your Redeemer’s conflict see, watch with him one bitter hour. Turn not from his griefs away; learn of Jesus Christ to pray.” Every year on this most Holy of weeks, we watch again the story of redemption: from the celebration of the arrival in Jerusalem, through the darkness of the last supper, to the agony of Calvary, and finally to stand at the empty tomb awed by the wonder of it all. This week, as we consider the “Lie of Productivity” we think about the call of the gospel and what it asks of us. We hope that you will join us through all the events of this week:
- Join us for worship at 8:30, 9:30, and 11:00 for Palm Sunday. The children will sing at 9:30 and 11:00 and we will be both in person and virtual.
- Take time to walk the Prayer Labyrinth on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.
- Join us as we mark “Maundy Thursday” on Thursday, April 1 at 7pm and consider the command of Christ
- Join us for the celebration of Resurrection on Easter Sunday at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00 in the sanctuary.
The journey of this Holy Week is long and asks much of us. We pray you will find in it the depth of the passion and the height of joy.
