In one of my favorite movies, The Shawshank Redemption, there is a line that has stuck with me for 30 years. The setting is a 1950s mens prison in the south. Add a crooked warden who skims off the top and guards who enjoy asserting their tremendous authority. One of the characters is on the verge of escaping these conditions; before he goes he suggests the following to a friend:
"Get busy living or get busy dying"
This week in worship we'll talk about Abram and Sarai, their faith and how God encouraged them to Get Busy Living.
