Who is a member of United Methodist Women? Any woman who commits herself to our Purpose and chooses to participate in meetings, prayers, giving, study, action, and service. We welcome women who want to be members
We cordially invite you to come visit one or more of the four circles that hold meetings. The names of the Circles and meeting times and locations are as follows:
Centenary Circles
Sara Porter Rejoice Circle meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at members' homes.
New Dawn Circle meets on the first Friday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the church library.
Susan Miller Circle meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. in the Chadwick Room on the second floor.
Centenary Circle meets on the second Monday of the month at 10:30 a.m. in the church parlor.
Mary Balko and Sophie Gaskill Circles meet annually; members participate in UMW activities.
The 2008-09 events are: Local, national and international mission gifts and projects including: FUEL, mission work team funding, school missions, clean water project, school supplies, vocational training, UM youth programs, Stop Hunger Now, and Christmas projects.
UMW Fund raising: Tea for Peace & Love, Fashion Show, Mother’s & Father’s Day flower sale, Christmas ornament sale, luncheons for meetings and conference at the church.
UMW Purpose
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
